Design an application to contract a pet insurance.
Miriam is a young woman who has just arrived in Barcelona. She is a 35-year-old illustrator and spends much of her day in a Coworking in the city center. She is passionate about her work and is always connected to social media.
Having just arrived in Barcelona, she decided to adopt a dog. After many visits to several kennels, she found Maila, a 3-year-old Bull terrier.
To ensure her dog safety, she is trying to contract insurance for her dog but she hates the traditional insurance company, where she wastes a lot of time making calls. As she is always connected it would be perfect to contract this insurance through an application.
After a deep analysis of Zurich company and their insurance products I studied their main competitors to have a piece of better knowledge and a good understanding about insurances and what kind of information is valuable for users (for example, coverages) and, what kind of information is valuable for the insurances (for example, what data they need).
During my research, I also created a mood board to get some inspiration (although I had to follow the company guidelines) but also, I wanted to know more about how to organize content, the architecture information and, how I wanted to design my insurance application.
Once I had a good understanding of insurance services and how the information was going to be distributed, I proceeded to define my user flow, from the downloading till the user contracted the product.
After a few sketches and some iterations drawing some low-fidelity wireframes, I wanted to apply the guidelines provided to my designed screens.
Putting all the screens together I got a prototype. The screens go from once the user is logged until the user contracts the pet insurance.
Your designs need to convey the right emotions and a good experience. You've found the right person to work with to achieve your goal.
